FFmpeg (Latest Git/Stable Static Builds) for GNU/Linux

How to install (ffmpeg-install):

• Instructions:

  • Open the terminal.
  • Clone the repository: git clone https://github.com/clamsawd/ffmpeg-install.git
  • Change directory: cd ffmpeg-install
  • Copy the script to $PATH (as root): cp -rf ffmpeg-install /usr/bin/
  • Change the permissions (as root): chmod +x /usr/bin/ffmpeg-install

Note: The script are compatible with all GNU/Linux distributions.

How to use:

• Commands to install:

  • $ ffmpeg-install --install (Latest git version)
  • $ ffmpeg-install --update release (Latest stable version)

• Commands to update:

  • $ ffmpeg-install --update (Latest git version)
  • $ ffmpeg-install --update release (Latest stable version)

• Command to uninstall:

  • $ ffmpeg-install --uninstall

• Show help:

  • $ ffmpeg-install --help
