dmenu-scripts - My implementation of dmenu to simulate Rofi functions (run, drun, window, filebrowser and theme-selector)

Dependencies:

  • Arch Linux:

    $ sudo pacman -S gcc make coreutils sed expat freetype2 libxinerama xdotool --noconfirm
$ sudo pacman -S xorg-xlsclients dex xterm brotli fontconfig libbsd libmd --noconfirm
$ sudo pacman -S libpng libx11 libxau libxdmcp libxft libxrender xdg-utils --noconfirm

  • Debian/Ubuntu:

    $ sudo apt install gcc make coreutils sed libexpat1-dev libfreetype-dev xdg-utils -y
$ sudo apt install libxinerama-dev xdotool x11-utils dex xterm libxft-dev -y
$ sudo apt install libfreetype6-dev libfontconfig1-dev libpng-dev libbrotli-dev -y 
$ sudo apt install libxrender-dev libmd-dev libxau-dev libbsd-dev libxdmcp-dev -y

Build and install:

  • Open terminal and run the following commands:

    $ git clone https://github.com/q3aql/dmenu-scripts
$ cd dmenu-scripts
$ sudo make install clean

dmenu scripts that simulate Rofi:

dmenu_run

dmenu_drun

dmenu_wrun

dmenu_fbrun

dmenu_themes

dmenu_cmd
